Stay
As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. The accommodation we offer has been selected with care and must comply to a number of conditions, such as: are they within easy reach of the sports park, do they provide value for money, are they suitable for sports groups, are they safe and is the management flexible.  

Other information
For participants having breakfast and/or dinner at a central location, the dininghall is located in Echallens (giant marquee at the sport venue). On Saturday and Sunday, it is possible to have lunch at the sport locations for a reasonable price. The lunch can be ordered in the morning so that queuing can be avoided at lunch time.

Touristic information
Montreux (22 miles).
Pearl of the Swiss Riviera. One of the most popular spots on Lake Geneva. Montreux Vevey features a remarkably beautiful landscape, with a superb view on the Alps and a particularly mild climate. Charming cogwheel trains for climbing the mountains, romantic steamers for crossing the Lake Leman and flowered lake side promenades. A holiday paradise with many opportunities for entertainment.

Lausanne (12 km).
Lively city centre with many restaurants and a pretty historical centre. Lausanne is situated on the shores of Lake Geneva and surrounded by vineyards. The newly built Olympic museum especially deserves a visit.

The Olympic Museum in Lausanne. An absolute must for sports fans. Here, the Olympic spirit is visualised in a fascinating exhibition, featuring all the Olympic sports, along with the history and development of the Olympic movement. The museum holds the most complete collection of coins, medals and postage stamps of all the Olympic Games since 1896.

Program introduction
Participants to previous editions of the Coupe du Gros-de-Vaud were quite taken with the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that characterises this tournament. The participants in this year's event can sample this immediately on their arrival on Friday evening when they are entertained in the open club house reception. From Saturday on, football will be 'the talk of the day' and keep everyone busy, with at least 6 matches per team spread over the weekend. On Saturday afternoon the team leaders can join a traditional Swiss reception, where local specialties are served and horn blowers create a special atmosphere. Saturday and Sunday morning will be mainly devoted to group matches and classification matches, the finals will be held on Sunday afternoon. After this busy sport programme, everyone will have time to recover before attending the prize-giving ceremony during a festive evening in the Salle des Fêtes when everybody will celebrate enthusiastically with snacks, drinks and a DJ.
