Stay
As well as participation at the tournament, Euro-Sportring also arranges the accommodation for the participants. Participants can usually choose between school accommodation, group accommodation (youth accommodation and bungalows) and hotels. The accommodation we offer has been selected with care and must comply to a number of conditions, such as: are they within easy reach of the sports park, do they provide value for money, are they suitable for sports groups, are they safe and is the management flexible.

The tournament dining hall is situated in the canteens of the two school accomodations of the Arnhem Cup.
The schools are both at walking distance from sports centre Valkenhuizen.

Touristic information
Arnhem
Arnhem, the capital city of the province of Gelderland, is the home of 141.000 people. The city is idyllically located in the Veluwe region which is characterized by woodlands, heaths, rivers and orchards. Arnhem is also known as the Park City or the Green City because of its many beautiful parks. But if you enjoy shopping, you will certainly find what you're looking for in Arnhem as well because this is the fifth largest shopping centre of the Netherlands. Arnhem is highly appreciated for the long alleys and the many narrow but pleasant shopping streets. Here you'll find large department stores as well as specialist shops. If you're looking for (nighttime) entertainment, the Korenmarkt is the place to be.

Burger's Zoo
With over 3.000 animals there's plenty to see in Burger's Zoo but Burger's Zoo is more than just a zoo. In 1968 already the first Safari Park on mainland Europe was opened here and in recent years some more attractions have been added. For example Burger's Bush, the world's first covered rain forest but also the mangrove, the desert and the ocean have it's place in Burger's Zoo. A perfect opportunity to see the animals in their natural environment.

Dutch Open Air Museum
If you would like to travel back in time, the Dutch Open Air Museum in Arnhem is not to be missed. The magnificent park offers an exposition of more than 80 houses from different parts of the Netherlands. This way, visitors will get a unique view of life and work in the Netherlands during the past 250 years. If you'd like to go one step further, enter the Hollandrama time capsule and see the Dutch interiors and cityscapes float past you

Program introduction
The Arnhem Cup offers an attractive combination of a visit to the provincial capital Arnhem and a meeting with handball friends from many European countries. ESCA Handball has an excellent reputation as tournament organiser. The participants can count on an extensive programme with lots of matches and various social activities. The programme starts on Friday with a professional opening game and welcome speech from a delegate from the city of Arnhem. On Saturday the tournament matches starts and the group matches will be played till approx. 19.00 hrs. In the evening the participants can make a dive into the swimming pool at ESCA or explore the city centre of Arnhem. The tournament will be concluded on Sunday afternoon. After all this, all guests are invited for the festive evening with the prize-giving ceremony and a disco/team leaders meeting at the sports complex.
